Renewable Heating - Save money on your heating costs

Energy, heating and cooling costs are rising at an almost exponential rate. Increasingly colder winter temperatures are being recorded in this country with fuel poverty becoming a pressing concern. Many people are yet to realise that old and inefficient gas boilers are actually cheaper to replace than to maintain.

Beechdale Energy have an exciting range of energy efficient heating solutions that capitalise on the abundance of FREE natural heat.

Furthermore, our Renewable Heating technologies all fall under the 'Renewable Heating Incentive' which is a Government backed incentive that was established to encourage customers to capitalise on low carbon heating solutions.

Our Renewable Heating product range consists of the following three technologies:

Product Overview

Air to Water Heat Pumps

The Air to Water Heat Pump system extracts low grade thermal energy (at ambient temperature) from the environment (heat freely available in outside air), upgrades the heat to a higher temperature and releases it into the water running through your central heating system to either low temperature radiators, under floor heating or fan coil units.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

Ground Source heating is a proven renewable technology with a 30 year pedigree. The heat pumps involved generate no carbon emissions at site and use approximately 25% of the energy required by a conventional gas or oil fired boiler. Also, unlike solar energy solutions, heat pumps can provide all of the energy required for a building's heating and hot water. As the cost of fossil fuels continues to rise the savings resulting from the use of heat pumps will increase, bolstered further by the Government backed 'Renewable Heat Incentive' that incentivises the purchase of this particular technology.

Solar Thermal

Solar Thermal systems provide up to 70% of your annual hot water needs. As well as domestic water heating, the Solar Thermal system can also provide central heating support for standard, industrialised hot water heating for high temperature applications. The system can easily be retrofitted to your property's roof, with minimal additional plumbing required to make it function. Once installed the Solar Thermal system requires only minimal maintenance, working to generate heat all year around.

The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)

The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a UK Government scheme set up to encourage uptake of renewable heat technologies amongst householders, communities and businesses through the provision of financial incentives. The UK Government expects the RHI to make a significant contribution towards their 2020 ambition of having 12% of heating coming from renewable sources. The Renewable Heat Incentive is the first of its kind in the world.

There are two phases to the introduction of the RHI:

Phase 1

The introduction of the Renewable Heat Premium Payments (RHPP) scheme to households and also the introduction of the RHI for non-domestic installations in the industrial, business and public sectors. Both of these have been introduced.

Phase 2

The domestic element of the RHI, is expected to be introduced in the summer of 2013 following a UK Government consultation in September 2012.
