David Cameron claimed, shortly after becoming Prime Minister, that his would be "the greenest government ever". Britain would advance to become a world leader in renewable energy, increasing the nation's energy independence while our oil and gas supplies dwindle.

Ofgem, the government energy watchdog has just released a report on the Feed-in Tariff Scheme (FITS) for its first full year to the end of March 2011. The report provides very detailed information on all renewable energy technologies, by region, on a quarterly basis.

Following completion of the Government's fast-track review of the Feed-in Tariff Scheme (FITS), the revised (reduced) tariff rates applicable to larger-scale installations were announced today.
